In a dazzling celebration of achievement and resilience, G KIBRIA & CO. marked its 40th anniversary with a gala dinner held at the Le Méridien Hotel, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The evening, filled with elegance, camaraderie, and reflection, was a fitting tribute to the firm’s remarkable journey in the accounting industry. The Gala Dinner was held at the Grand Ball Room of the hotel. 

The event was honored by the presence of various dignitaries including the Honourable State Minister of Culture of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Mr. K.M. Khalid, MP who was the Chief Guest of the event. Other dignitaries included Mr. Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury, Honorable Comptroller & Auditor General of Bangladesh and Mr. Md. Moniruzzaman, FCA, President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). Finally, the event was also attended by members of GMN International including the International Chairman Mr. Nandan Bendarker and Asia Pacific President Mr. Aubrey Saverimuttu. 

The gala commenced with a heartfelt toast to the founding principles that have guided the Firm through four decades of success. Our founding partner, Mr. A K Gulam Kibria, FCA shared inspiring words, recounting the firm’s humble beginnings, significant milestones, and the unwavering commitment that has defined G. Kibria & Co’s journey.

The night also included testimonials from clients including video messages from Mr. Md. Abdur Razzaq, CIP, Managing Director of JMI Group and Mr. Mir Nasir Hossain CIP, Managing Director of Mir Akhter Hossain Limited. 

Guests were treated to a culinary extravaganza, featuring a gourmet menu curated to delight the senses. The exquisite dishes were a nod to the diversity of the firm’s achievements and the richness of its history. As the evening unfolded, a video montage took attendees on a nostalgic journey, highlighting key moments and achievements from the firm’s illustrious history. Entertainment segments, including live music and performances, added a touch of glamour and excitement to the celebration, creating an atmosphere of joy and festivity.

As the night drew to a close, Mr. Shah Rafsan Kibria, ACA gave the vote of thanks which set its sights on the future with optimism and determination. The gala served not only as a celebration of past achievements but also as a launchpad for the firm’s continued commitment to excellence and innovation in the years to come.
